The Candidate should have the following physical standards’ at the time of joining SPI. This list is not exhaustive, but it is a guideline. The cadet must be medically fit, to join the defence academies.
Height: 157 cms
Weight: 43 Kg
Chest: Without expansion : 74 cms expansion: 5 cm (minimum) Eye sight: 6/6 in a distant vision chart with better eye and 6/9 in worse eye. Myopia less that 2.00 and hypermetropia less than 2.00 Including
Astigmatism. A candidate must have good binocular vision. Candidate should not be night blind and colour blind and should be able to recognise red and green colours.(For details refer any previous UPSC NDA notification)
Selected candidates will have to verify “Medical Fitness tests” by a qualified Registered Medical Practitioner before joining. Separate medical test will be conducted at SPI for candidates within first few days after joining. Those who are declared ‘Fit’ by this panel will only continue at SPI.
